Sunshine, Indeed

Little Miss Sunshine is one of those rare movies that combines tragedy, warmth, realness, and hilarity. It is an independent film that starts off a bit slow, but allows you time to get to know the characters before they embark on their often hilarious journey to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. I won't give anything away, but I was in tears laughing at some points during the film. The ending 'dance routine' at the pageant is something not to be missed. Abigail Breslin manages to be adorable and spunky in her own unique way, instead of a cookie cutter image of what cuteness is supposed to be. This is what real families are like, and sometimes it is not pretty but we realize the importance of holding onto them regardless. Enjoy this movie!
