Current mood: annoyed

Ok I have had a crappy week. My pool won't clear up, I can't get the well guy to come out and dig the new well (I share a well with my neighbor and lets just say that is the stupidest thing anyone has ever designed to save money, sorry Dad), the plumber is too busy to come fix all the many things that are wrong (Thank God I bought those gazillion towels on eBay), I locked my keys in my car last night ($75 to the locksmith by day, DJ by night), the AC broke (had to get a new capacitor... wonder how much that costs but yay now I can power up the Delorean and go see Doc), the grass is growing steadily in my back yard and my lawn man will not mow it (he will only do the front yard cause his machine is too big to fit through my gate...lol). Seems like I can't catch a break.

And then I come to myspace, a haven where my friends gather to make each other laugh and where I usually come to unwind and relax. Well, I won't even get into the Thursday drama than took place, or the fact that the mail seems to go on lockdown every other night.....but seriously, does anyone else HATE applications like I do? This is the sole reason I avoid facebook with a passion. I do not want to be poked ten times a day (not virtually at any rate), I do not want people starting buying wars over my photos, I do not want to know what you want to do to me (unless you mean business and you are nearby)...and I have not saved the rainforest by accepting your virtual plants.
I have blocked them from my comments, at least. But I go to my home page and scroll through the bulletins with great anticipation to read Dougs latest survey, and I have to go three pages back because one of my friends I rarely speak with is informing everyone that he is worth $5,788 dollars and posting the bulletin 97 times. Yay for you. Now STFU.

I am NOT for sale. Anyone who has my pic on their page claiming to have bought me, is a damn liar. End of rant.

At least my AC is fixed, so when I get home from two softball games (that we will not win) after baking in the hot sun for four hours, I can come home to a nice cold house....but first I have to stop off at the store and buy some liquor cause its been one of those weeks, fo sho.


Edited: I forgot to add that I broke my FAVORITE mug this morning (it was handcrafted and I lurved it so). So I'm browsing for another one now at mugheaven. They're awesome if you are in need of a new mug.

	Simon, AMS	One of my friends claimed that had bought me as a pet!! My reply was to warn that under no circumstances would I be housetrained, I would bury bones in his garden and drool all over his slippers! I find such things absurd and my gut reaction is to ridicule them. Liquor does not solve life's problems. However, it does make them warm and fuzzy around the edges. 	Tina Beana	How annoying!! 	Chickwah	This just goes to show how different we all are. I do like Facebook but agree that most of the apps on there are a pain. I "ignore" the vast majority of stuff I'm sent. However I do play the game "owned" but it is only the photos you bid for - not the person, or Tina would batter the cr*p out of me, the number of times I've bought photos of Jason! I have sent her some lovely photos to make amends though. I have more "real-life" friends on Facebook and it is great to keep in touch that way as some of them are overseas and don't use myspace. 	Tina Beana	LOL, well I'm glad you realise I could batter the crap out of you ;), no it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I'm not like that and I enjoy getting your photos of the men you pick for me :D. Yep I agree it is annoying when people you don't even know buy your photos but 90% of my friends I have on Facebook are my real friends so it doesn't bother me when they do things like that and I find it better for keeping in touch with my friends and family that are overseas as Chickwah says. 	Chickwah	I think we are a little at the mercy of our friends on both sites in some ways. I had one "friend" on myspace for a while. She must have spent the WHOLE day on here and commented on EVERY photo, posted countless bulletins (15 in ONE DAY!!!!), put comment after comment on my page, some in VERY questionable taste. At first I felt sorry for her and let it go but it got way too much and finally I felt like I had a stalker and she had to go. I have a few friends on facebook who must have the looooooooooongest pages with all the applications they add, so I do know what you mean.
